Rizz-Karo was born from the observation that many users, especially Gen-Z, struggle with crafting clever, witty, or flirty replies on social platforms and dating apps. The goal was to eliminate social awkwardness and boost engagement by generating AI-powered responses like compliments, roasts, and “rizz” (a trendy slang for charisma or flirting). We analyzed user behavior, studied existing AI tools, and identified a gap in casual, personality-driven response generation. This project bridges that gap by combining entertainment, social media culture, and the power of conversational AI.
The design of Rizz-Karo is centered around a fun, energetic, and social experience. Using a dark theme with neon gradients and emojis, the UI reflects the playful Gen-Z aesthetic. Key design principles include fast interactions, minimal input effort, and instant visual feedback. Users can choose a tone (rizz, roast, or compliment), generate a short AI-crafted response, and either post it to their feed or copy it to share elsewhere. We used a mobile-first approach with glassmorphism elements and engaging micro-animations to make the interface both smooth and memorable.
Rizz-Karo is built with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) and integrates Google’s Gemini API to power its AI-based response generation. The backend handles user authentication via JWT, stores posts securely in MongoDB, and exposes RESTful APIs for interaction. On the frontend, users can input prompts, generate replies, and post them seamlessly. Tailwind CSS ensures a responsive and stylish UI, while protected routes maintain security. The project is hosted using Vercel for the frontend and Render for the backend, offering a smooth full-stack deployment pipeline.
